Two mail arts of mine about this town

  1. No umbrellas? ;-)

I think Cherbourg would be a place I could feel at home.

  5. I am taking my English visitor to our old fortifications (Newcastle Australia) this-afternoon. Don't worry, ours were not built to keep out the French! We were worried about the Russians 150 years ago!

  16. How interesting that the Vikings were also in France. I read a lot about the Vikings. They were everywhere in Europe and they stayed in France and England and got even land from the French and English kings. They were of great importance to our cultures. And on the other hand they took over a lot from us. Like Christianity.

  23. C comme la chanson...

Nous étions cinq, six bons bougres
    Qui rev'nions de Longjumeau
    On entra dans une auberge
    Pour y boir' du vin nouveau-eau !

    C'est à boire, à boire, à boire,
    C'est à boire qu'il nous faut.
    Oh ! oh ! oh ! oh !
    C'est à boire, à boire, à boire,
    C'est à boire qu'il nous faut !

Ceci explique cela.
